Just A Normal Saturday

Saturday- the first week day where students can lie in and not have to get up to go to school. You can slob around in your PJ's and do whatever you want. If it's sunny you are able to go out and enjoy the little sunshine that we get in England and cherish it. If it's rainy you can snuggle up in your duvet and watch things on Netflix.

I went town today and it started snowing while I was there. Snow is something that's always fascinated me. Every snowflake is different and it's not something we get a lot; all we get is slush. Admittedly, when I was a kid all I wanted to do was go outside, have snowball fights and build snowmen. Now all I want to do is take photographs of the white winter and snuggle up with a good book and a cup of tea.

Winter is the season that gives me mixed thoughts. On one hand, I hate the cold and I am constantly slipping over on the ice. On the other hand, it's fun to go out and have snowball fights with my friends.

Reading and Writing

I am a massive bookworm. Whenever I read a book, the world just seems to fade away and I'm in a completely different place. I can always empathise with the characters and I definitely get emotionally attached to them. One thing I have always said is that I find people who read more books than watch more TV has better imagination because when you read, you can sit there and imagine what a character looks like, sounds like, their body language. But in TV you can't do that because their voice and looks are already given to you.

It's the same with writing. When I write, I can create a world that I find perfect. Only I can control what happens and it's perfect for me. It's a way to express my feelings and emotions. Say things I don't usually have the courage to say.

I try to read and write in every genre; to widen my experience. English Literature is a subject I have always enjoyed studying at school. There is no right or wrong answer; just opinions.

To be able to feel something for fictional characters is something I've always felt is wonderful. It shows how compassionate a person it, to love someone who isn't even real. Fictional characters have inspired me for so long, even if they were Disney and cartoon characters when I was a kid.

Apology

Sorry I haven't posted in four days I think it's been. I've been so caught up in homework it's unreal. Also, yesterday was my birthday so I wasn't going to post then because I spent it with my family.

I have made up with my friends, I think, We were talking today, which is a good sign, right? Fingers crossed that it works out because I have missed them so much.

Yesterday in P.E we were allowed in the gym. It was the first time I've ever been in a gym and it was so exciting. Then we did fitness things like squats and lunges and sit ups. My thighs ache so much because of those damn squats. Stupid me decides that I want to get fit so I'm doing fitness everyday now. Can't wait to see how long I will actually keep this up to be honest. I always say I'm going to exercise but I never do.

There's this new TV programme I have started watching called Pretty Little Liars. I think the main theme that stood out to me was friendship which got me speaking to Yellow and Indie, the two friends I haven't been talking to.

Oh, Sylvia See, I was talking to my friend, who I think I nicknamed Creeper. Anyway, Creeper mentioned how I haven't posted in a while and she mentioned what your reaction would be because she's noticed you've commented on my blogs. Get why I've nicknamed her Creeper now? I told her and she just laughed; hopefully she is okay with it.

Just An Average Day

I didn't post yesterday. Sorry. My internet wasn't working properly but now it is!

Just an average day for a teenager. Wake up, way tired, and have to go to school. Most people complain about school but I honestly like school because without it I would have nothing to do and I wouldn't have met any of my friends.

In dance we've started group work for our exam. I'm working with two other girls who I get on very well with. We're usually the type to do really light and happy pieces but for this group dance we're doing it about possession and it's going to be really creepy and dark. I can't wait!
One of our main Stimulus is a quote from A Midsummer Nights Dream- William Shakespeare. I'll tell you it later on (for the quote of the day).

I really want it to snow next Tuesday- for 2 main reasons.
1) My P.E teacher promised if it does snow we'll have a snowball fight in P.E
2) It's my birthday then so it would be quite cool to have it snow on my birthday instead of raining like it usually does.

Science today though! We're doing about Genes and Chromosomes. Our teacher showed us some really disturbing pictures of mutations like a foot with 6 toes! She also showed us how she's mutated to become very double jointed.

About Me

So I did a 'About Me' post before but it got lost so I'm going to do another one and this time I have more things to say!

  • My favourite TV programmes are: The 100, Once Upon A Time and Take Me Out.
  • I've always loved reading and writing.
  • Purple is my favourite colour.
  • I have a dog- a golden retriever.
  • Dancing is a hobby of mine and something I do quite regularly.
  • I used to do piano lessons.
  • As well as a dog, I have two chickens called Tikka and Korma.
  • Until recently, I used to hate fizzy drinks.
  • As a kid, I was obsessed with The Little Mermaid.
Okay, that's enough for now. Knowing me, I'll make up a really long and boring list about even the little things.

I had dance practice today. I'm currently taking part in a project of what makes the place we live in special and we are going to perform in three locations that are undetermined yet. It's quite exciting. We're working with another school near us so I'll be meeting new people as well, which I'm looking forward to.

Starting From Scratch

Well, my blog posts disappeared. I don't know why or how to get it back so I'm just going to have to start again.
I wasn't going to post until I got my blog layout to the way it was, but Yellow (one of my friends that I mentioned in my old posts) won't help me with setting it up like she did last time and I don't know how so my blog is going to look very basic.

I've had a rough couple of days, not going to lie. First, I've had trouble sleeping because our front porch light won't stop flicking on and off at night, making it very hard to get to sleep.
And second, is the usual teenage girl drama of having friendship problems and coping with school. But oh well; that's life I suppose.

We've started doing English coursework on Macbeth. Yep, sounds quite boring but I enjoy doing Shakespeare because it's different to what I normally read. My school is putting on a production of A Midsummer Nights Dream, which I'm looking forward to quite a lot because some of my friends have main roles. I can't be more proud!

One of my favourite shows has recently started: Take Me Out. I find it so funny and entertaining, not to mention how dumb some of the girls can be. I quite often get called dumb because my hair colour is blonde but I have proven them that I am smart (not to sound like I'm bragging). I would say I have average intelligence when it comes to school work. As for common sense- I have none!
